Youth BeyondBlue Going through tough times? Stress, anxiety and feeling down can affect anyone, and in fact happens to a lot of us at some point in our lives. We all have good days and bad days. However, if you’re feeling sad, down or anxious and these feelings have started to affect what you would normally enjoy or do, then it’s important to find out what’s going on and what you can do about it.

The BRAVE Program is a free online program for the prevention and treatment of anxiety in children and young people. The program has been specially designed to teach young people the skills they need to reduce anxiety and to cope with stressful situations.

Youth Beyond Blue Check-In
Check-in app helps take the fear out of having a conversation with a friend who might be struggling.  By following four simple steps, you can easily plan how you will approach the person you care about, what you will say, and how you will offer your support.  The app lets you rate how the conversation went and get ideas about the next steps forward to support a friend. There’s also tips about looking after your own mental health, links to online forums and a range of online and phone services available for young Australians.
“This (Check-in) app is so incredibly unique and really takes the ‘fear’ aspect out of having a conversation with a friend about how they are going…I’d recommend it to everyone I know.” – blueVoices member, age 18 – taken from Youth Beyondblue website

Everyone has worries pop into their head from time to time, but sometimes they won’t go away and start to impact your everyday life. ReachOut Worry Time interrupts this repetitive thinking by setting aside your worries until later, so you don’t get caught up in them and can get on with your day. This means you can deal with worries once a day, rather than carrying them around with you 24/7.

Recharge is a personalised six-week program that helps improve your general health and wellbeing by focusing on four key areas:
1. A regular wake and sleep time each day, achieved gradually over six weeks;
2. An alarm clock that triggers fun activities designed to get you up and out of bed;
3. Increasing your exposure to daylight early in the day, to help reset your body clock; and,
4. Encouraging you to increase physical activity, especially within two hours of waking up.
Establishing a good sleep/wake routine that includes regular exercise and early daylight exposure will help improve your mood, energy and general health and wellbeing as well as helping you sleep better at night.

The Toolbox is an online tool which can connect you with services or apps to help you improve your health and wellbeing. A quick quiz identifies your personal concerns and suggests apps which may benefit those key areas. Complete the quiz & find your apps today.
